I just got this article from Vintage Guitar. A reprint of an article from 2010. It's an in depth look (with specific details about design changes and personel) at Fender's running of Guild. Being from 2010, it's before the closingn of the New Hartford factory, and the sale to Cordoba.

Thanks, that is an enjoyable read. I am actually a Guild convert as I tried for more than a year to acquire an Adamas but eventually settled for a Guild Orpheum this February, and I could not have got a better guitar I think - it's just awesome!
