So it occured to me that if I wanted to see more threads on the OFC that I probably had to write one. Duh...

So here's a recap of sorts in my perspective since Facebook platforms became the next chapter and I have "grown" in my obsessive pursuits to reprocess Ovation guitars and the enjoyment of their history.

- Joined multiple Ovationfb sites but really only linger in two or three of them. Enjoy hearing from the usual suspects and especially from former Kaman employees!

- Transformed my "Craft Room" into a Bedroom... Shipped over 80 lbs of Ovation specialty parts to Steve McCormick who heads up RenOvation Guitars and coordinates a network of Ovation repair experts. This better serves my new role in hosting talent that stays the night following our community concerts. It also reduces the clutter that my kids won't understand and don't have to deal with later (hopefully much later, but you know).

- Condensed my collection to include much more worthy items. My last endevour swapped three "Woody's" for a Red trans VXT that was likely a NAMM show example (it does not have a serial number).

- Maintaned the tools to do setups and simple repairs.

- Been watching my friend Damon with Red Blanket guitars as he takes on the next courageous steps in the Ovation market!

- Planning my next guitar purchase... still need just one more!

Woodrow,
Good to hear from you. Over the years, I've simplified what I've got around the house (you shipped 80 lbs of stuff???). Fewer guitars and less misc guitar stuff. When Dan Savage was working on my guitars, I gave a lot of stuff to him, and then I've sent the rest of what I've got to Steve McCormick as well.

Sometimes it amazes me that we've been coming here for over 20 years. I miss what it used to be back in the day a lot, but for everything, there is a season...
