I never knew John played these guitars..How cool! John is perhaps one of the biggest reasons why I took up the instrument..I had been a Beatles and John Lennon fan for as long as I can remember! "Acoustic" is a nice collection of songs but if you have the Lennon Anthology box set you have most of the songs anyway..I just thought it was cool that John was playing an Ovation..

If you use the search Mode and enter John Lennon you may just find the previous ones. It was great to know that john was playing an Ovation during some of his last sessions. I believe it was determined to have been an Ovation Legend LTD.

I doubt if he paid anything for it, but at least it came from a retail store. As far as Yoko, she gets no where near enough credit. For what - I don't know. Maybe she was the first to imitate a womans child labor screams on vinyl. But them again who among us has not spent some quality time with the "two virgins" album cover ???

She is dedicating the CD to "future guitarists". The lyrics have chording references, with diagrams on the back pages. The sound quality is quite varied. I would say the overall effect is informal, and somewhat random. I think you can pretty easily determine which cuts have the "O" on them.

The article said there were some piano pieces but the vocals were recorded terribly and wouldn't work for release. So this is it. For now. A lot of what was available from the home studio was used in the movie Imagine, and what else was left was pored over by the remaining 3 and Yoko to see what they could come up with for the anthology, which turned out to be Free As A Bird and Real Love. It's all repackaging from here on out.
