Here's a cool (cold) pic of what one of the guys with a CA Cargo did to show just how they are unaffected by anything you can throw at them.

I love and believe in CF, but this dude needs a 'drop kick'.

I'm waiting for the 'Bucky Balls' technology to drop in develop costs to advance guitar construction/improvements (that's not counting many other arenas).

Actually Johnny, I would be willing to bet it didn't even change tuning in that condition.

Any guitar can be buried deep in the snow. The question is . . . what happens after it has been retrieved?

TJ , ya talkin' 'bout the git or the owner? :D Even carbon fiber has it's thermo limits, albeit minimal. But that's not counting the strings... Hopefully the owner is standing on solid ground with his arm upraised holding it!

AJ, ergo, I'm a believer and a steady customer... ;)

At a NAMM show we were going to have an Academy in a fish tank, pull it out every hous and play it. The water killed the strings and to have to go through stringing it up and all the bs that went with that, we never did it.
These guitars seem to be enjoying their 10 minutes in the spotlight these days.

Good friend of mine has one. Nice guitars.

But Beal is right (maybe 15 minutes, not 10).

It works out like this: We are living so amazingly far away from a place where we make any real honest to goodness life and death decisions we don't know what to do with our brains anymore. I mean that literally. Our brains were built to answer questions like "do I take my chances going out hunting even though the game does not look promising, or do I conserve my energy lying in this cave another day and hope for better conditions tomorrow? Because if I go hunting today and fail, I may not have enough energy to go hunting tomorrow." That's a life and death decision. That's what our brains are for.

But our decisions today almost universally hinge on aesthetic differences. You like Chevy, I like Volvo. You like this guitar, I like that guitar. Who fucking cares. Its a guitar. It doesn't make a nickel's worth of spit's difference either way.

Don't believe me? How about the idiot that is so compelled to prove that his guitar is better than yours he buries it in the snow and sends a picture out on the internet. That's what this is, after all.

Play your fucking guitar. Enjoy it. Don't bury it in the snow. How hard is that?

I hear what you're saying Jeff, but I will make the argument that putting the guitar in the snow is also a basic primal decision ... akin to a peacock preening with tailfeathers extended or an ape beating its chest - flaunting what you've got to protect your territory and/or attract a mate. Nothing more than a modern day instance of natural survival instinct.

One of the benefits of successfully surving at the top of the food chain for 10,000 years.
