Whatever it costs - you can't rely on Ovation keeping on doing this...... So next May, 4 days without the option. You are sentenced.

Joined: December 2001 Posts: 10583 Location: NJ | thanks to Kim Keller here are the directions. I just kinda follow the bread crumbs when I am up in CT.....well that and the smell of binary reisen in the morning!!!!! Directions: Directions to New Hartford, CT and the Ovation/Hamer Factory From NJ and south: From the Tappan Zee bridge, take the Sawmill Parkway exit from 287 (second exit past the toll booths) north, this merges with I-684 north. Take I-84 East through Danbury to CT Rt. 8 north. Follow Rt.8 to the first traffic light (CT Rt. 44) and turn left. Go approx. 6 miles into the town of New Hartford, the second traffic light is Rt. 219, turn left over the bridge, then take the first left onto Greenwoods Rd. The factory is the large red brick building at the end. From NYC: Take the New England Expressway (I-95) to Bridgeport, CT, turn north on CT Rt. 8, then follow the above directions From Albany and north: From I-90, take the Masspike to the Lee exit, turn left onto MA Rt. 20. Follow Rt. 20 to the intersection of Rt. 8 south. Follow Rt. 8 through Winsted, CT, then follow CT Rt. 44 as above. From Boston and east: Take the Masspike to the I-291 exit (Springfield) south to I-91 south. Take the CT Rt. 20 exit (Bradley Airport) west. Follow Rt. 20 past the airport, through Granby, CT, until you happen upon CT Rt. 219 to the left. Follow Rt. 219 until you come to a green bridge. Exactly one mile past this bridge, there will be a firehouse on the right. This is Greenwoods Rd. The factory is at the end of the street. From Hartford: Take Rt. 44 (Albany Ave.) out past Avon Mountain, through Avon and Canton, you will come into New Hartford. The second traffic light is Rt. 219, turn right, then the first left is Greenwoods Rd. Directions to the Hotel: From NJ and south: Follow the directions above, but rather than turning on Rt. 8, follow I-84 into Hartford, taking I-91 north. Take the Rt. 20 (Bradley Airport) exit, follow Rt. 20 to the Rt. 75 exit. Turn right at the offramp, and the hotel is on your right. From Albany and north: Take the Masspike to the Springfield (I-291) exit, then south on I-91 to the CT Rt. 20 exit (Bradley Airport). Get off at the Rt. 75 exit, turn right, the hotel is on your right. From Boston and east: Follow the directions above, get off at Rt. 75 from Rt. 20

| Joined: February 2004 Posts: 2487 | Hope this event went well everyone. I just got back from my obligitory once a year open house at work. Really wanted to play some music with this bunch. Factory tour and open house for us would have been nice too. Perhaps next time. I think I will have to use some sort of personal emergency excuse next year as our open house is the third Saturday in May every year. Randy | ||
