I took the Uber-Deacon out and played on the street corner and the guitar got many compliments.
As far as the guitar itself, it is Awesome. But it is a bastard-projeckt.
The volume knobs are not quite linear, and there are a coupla frets that stick-out and will hang-up the high-E string if I drag it off of the fretboard. (so I will try not to do that)
But the frets are nice, the action is great without any adjustment.
I like the weight and the Deacon/Breadweiner body shape.
The guitar sounds great and has a nice range of sonic possibilities.
It has a stereo output, so I can run the signal to both sides of my Roland CubeStreet (dumb name) if I choose to by using a Y-cable that Woody included.
I have taken it out, and will take it out again.
And did I say the action is Great and comfortable.
Even though I only play cowboy chords and only used the first five frets, it is really nice to be able to play around with the two octave neck.
Gotta do the openings to "Cats in the Cradle", "Casey Jones" and "Shooting Star"...
(So I guess I do play further down than five frets)
