For the last year or two (since I discovered and bought my first ovation) I have been watching the used music stores in the area for a cutom legend. Finally one has appeared (second hand knowledge) which i'm going to check out tomorrow, a 1769 AlDimeola with hardcase for $699.99. I'm just checking with the real experts as to whether this is a good buy. I suppose I could search for MSRP and such but i'd rather get a more accurate estimate from yall, not to mention share the joy of my discovery. I'm also wondering to what degree instruments of the same model can differ acoustically. Thanks again ovation fanclub; always there with open arms!

A DiMeola is basically a signature Custom Legend and many on the OFC know how much I like CL's.

As to the price? Lot depends on condition. Excellent price if the guitar is in very good condition. Finish cracks, chips, etc., reduce the value.

Check it out, play it - like it, then take it home.

Collin,

If the guitar is clean with no issues, that is a good price.
