Location: Cork, Ireland | Doing some minor tweaks on the 1615 this weekend.I plan to
-See if any shims are already fitted and maybe fit some (I find the action a bit low).
-Replace missing saddle pins.
-Look at the preamp as the pot crackles a bit.
Anything else I should check on this 29-year-old while I'm in there? |

Change the battery and if it still does contact cleaner. |

No shims in there so I fitted one which improves the buzzing at the bass end.
All I did the electrics was tighten the locknut and now no signal at all! Obviously disturbed a bad connection somewhere - maybe when I lifted the saddle? Wiring looked pretty rebust there though. Are all the leads soldered to the preamp or are there spade connectors etc.? |
