Here's a very nice review of her recent show at the Howard Theater in Washington D.C.:

Note his comment about her 1581kk's "exquisite tones".

Best to all--

I caught her show in Boston last week and it was excellent.

Just like the above review, the first half of the show was all acoustic -- played on her signature Adamas (actually a pair of them, while her tech set up the tuning on the alternating one.) She played her first album in its entirety, and then some greatest acoustic hits.

The second half of the show was progressive/alternative, loud, and a lot of fun. She played a Tele, a couple of Hamers, a Gretsch long-neck, lap steel (with delay/looping), and an Ovation mandolin. I was standing right in front of the guy playing the EDI, and it was fascinating to hear what sounds he could get out of it.

Congratulations to Kaki and family: she's done you proud again! I really enjoyed her interview on NPR (Chicago) when she was in town some months ago. Not only does she carry the torch for Adamas, but she is one-of-a-kind!
