| I have had a mid 70's deacon for around 40 years. I would like to maybe get the guitar reconditioned a bit and begin to play it again. When I put it away a few years ago many of the frets were wore out. I believe that it would need a complete refret but I don't want just anyone to do it. I think this would be a good place to start the resurrection. Can anyone here recommend a reputable source that I would trust to repair my heirloom guitar? Other areas that would need attention are a ding in the finish along the top ridge and the bridge always had a little bit of an issue with the higher strings. Unless the ding in the finish could be repaired properly I may just leave that as it is. Any advice and contact information would be appreciated. I think I would like to make this my winter project. I'm located in the USA near St Louis. Thanks in advance. |
