But looking at this from company side - such a worker is a shame and walking disaster waiting to happen.
When i read about it months ago, i was mad at Fishman company that they're spreading stereotypes, and that they make a bad name for an Ovation.
Ok, i forgot it for the moment... fast forward 3 weeks.
My friend was ordering custom Furch guitar and he had B-Band and Fishman EQ to choose from. Guess, which one i adviced him? it wasn't based on specs, because they were almost the same. But i told him to go for B-Band just because.
And he ordered B-Band and he's happy. I didn't think at the moment about this guy and this situation. I just had a bad image of Fishman in my head, so i adviced him the way i'd bought it.
And i think, if this sales rep made 200 shows like this, and on 50% of those shows there was an ovation / ovation celebrity owner at the attendance, do you think that this one person didn't feel insulted or so?
From what i know, ONE angry / disappointed customer can do more damage than one hundred satified customers can repair. |

| I'm amazed by the whole thing. Especially that Fishman tracked brad down to tell him. I've never read anything like it and I think Fishman deserve huge kudos.
And don't feel sorry for the guy - like LBJ says it was probably part of his "act" everytime he did a presentation. The fact that it was ignorant and untrue and potentially hurt the jobs and livelihoods of fellow Americans doesn't seem to have crossed his mind. So screw him. There will be a lot more people in the unemployment line this winter who truly deserve your sympathy. |
