I think you are more Pagan than I am Nancy. That is some chalice, lots of fun! I'll put a suitable tankard on my list of things to look for or make.

Aha Nancy I think the old ways are running deep under a thin veneer with you.

I've got a good percentage of Highlander but it is mixed with a long list of other trouble makers like French Huguenots and over here some Blackfoot or Crow, All the European end were evicted or had to run to the wilds over here. All agree on a trust in nature because it is a lot easier to hide in the forest! As a man of science my conclusion is life might as well be fun.

Now for Damen I've put some thought into the wine glass routine and think a slow blues or Hawaiian melody could be done with the side of the glass. I realized that I have a easier shortcut and could use the base for a slide on my lap steel.

Beer bottles make better slides IMHO.

....when you finish the bottle, smash it and crank out the long solo ending.

Hey, Everyone,
I'm with OMA on the not letting strangers near my guitars rule. Even "friends" at church who were/are, "trying to help", have done real damage to all of my guitars at one time, or another. "Horror of Horrors!", is all all I can say on that score. I remember reading an article in Guitar Player Magazine when I first started playing. It was something about, "10 Rules For Beginners Guitar Maintenance. "Rule #1 was: Don't play someone else's guitar. You have your own. Play that one. Every guitarist should have a big sign somewhere on their case, or inside on case the lid saying, "GUITARS ARE LIKE TOOTHBRUSHES. DON'T USE OTHER PEOPLES!" Yuck. It still makes me cringe. I got mistaken for a terrorist/criminal of some kind?for the first time, while doing prison ministry in the mid-eighties. We went to the largest federal prison in CANADA at the time, and yes, the prison guards had to inspect my Ovation guitar. Somehow, they mistook my Herco case humidifier for a big chunk of heroin? and the entire team got placed in a holding cell for at least 20 minutes! Once they figured it was just limestone, they were quite disappointed, and embarrassed, at the same time! "Nothing to see here. Move on. Goin' thru!" Never let your Guard(Father) down, people. My guitar is now a weapon of missed destruction. And did it ever get my goat, too!

"GUITARS ARE LIKE TOOTHBRUSHES. DON'T USE OTHER PEOPLES!"

Y'know, you could probably make some money on eBay selling T-shirts, buttons and bumper stickers that say that.

Hi, OMA,
The guy who thought up that saying already beat me to the punch, almost 50 years ago, when I first read it in Guitar Player Magazine. I have a photographic memory, so I am just a mountain of useless information. There's some stuff, I'd really like to forget! I could be my own internet, but I don't want to go there. I win the money on, "Jeopardy!", every day, but they won't let me go there, because.. I AM CANADIAN! So..we bribed Alex Trebek with,.. "The Key To The City of Ottawa", last week, and now he says the producers and lawyers are working on something to let CANADIANS actually go on the show again. Auditions are still in EL-eh?
