Have to ask the factory for a refurb price.
It does have a s/n, 25something. I'd still wonder about the bowl, did it get smashed at some point?

The more i look at it the more i'm thinking of putting as bid down, just in case the price doesn't sky rocket at the last minute. I wonder what would be a faire price for that guitar. Anybody?

Glenn - sometimes it is not worth the effort of knawing through the restraints. at least wait until after its sponge bath time!

Very interesting color.

Just a WAG, but I would say you could buy a pretty nice A2 in nice condition for about $1200. This one on ebay might go for about $500. I would predict it will cost way more than $700. to bring it up to the level of the $1200. one. If you love the fucged up color, the weird headstock, bad nut, worn and filthy fretboard, who-knows-what neck, blistered paint around epaulets, banged up bowl and nobody knows if the electrionics even work - then this is just the bargin you're looking for. Dave

PS - I've seen that color before. Is it deep mauve? Vaguely reminds me of the bathroom floor in Temps hotel room.

Update on STRTANGE ADAMAS II in FT. Lauderdale...

I live in Ft. Lauderdale and have sent numerous e-mails to Yulefindither, the guy with the auction... He has yet to respond even though he claims:

"Emails will be answered quite promptly Mon.-Fri. from 9:00 - 3:00...
YOUR SATISFACTION IS MY MAIN GOAL... JUST EMAIL ME AND I WILL DO MY BEST TO RECTIFY THE PROBLEM ASAP...

I was prepared to go over there with a new set of strings, a guitar tech friend and an amp to test this beast...

He must have something to hide and doesn't have the stones to respond...

Here's his ebay history profile:

Seems he no rookie on e-bay, but he has managed to piss of 20 people...

I could e-mail copies of this entire post to all his bidders but I think I'll leave this alone for now...

I was looking at this guitar and couldn't figure out why all my antennae were vibrating, so I looked here for a thread and am thankful to have found this one.

FWIW, I just emailed the seller to inquire about a case and had a reply within five minutes. (There isn't one.)

Also, when one does that much business on ebay it is hard to not annoy some people.....

It's still a really funky Adamas, though.
