What Ovation that you Currently own give you your best "Bang for the Buck"? Mine is my 1758-1 12 string Elite. I still can't believe the deal I got, tone and volume I get from it.

I'm not very good, but she is, and hearing her having fun and playing is SO worth whatever I paid for it.

If anyone wants it, so they can add it to their best bang for the buck list, let me know. I'll inspect, buy, pack and ship for actual cost. It's worth something to me just to bring another guitar home and watch SWMBO's reaction. I also need to get rid of a couple of Ovation boxes and this seems like a good way to get rid of one.

After I sent a lengthy letter to their CEO, I received a call from the store manager informing me that he had been instructed to make it right. In the end, I received my 2002 Collector's and another nice, used Ovation for $700 shipped. I sold the other one for $1000 and kept the '02 which is like new. So basically, I got paid $300 to receive one of the best-looking guitars Ovation ever made!

For some reason, they have not gained traction in the acoustic guitar community, so they don't command the prices the wood sniffers like to brag that they paid. They are, nevertheless, serious professional grade instruments with good tonal balance and feel. I don't remember what I paid for my 1869 some fourteen years ago, but it has been my constant companion on stage or in the living room. Whatever I paid, I more than got my money's worth. Let the museum piece owners sneer.

My son just pulled an overseas Takamine with case out of the trash in his alley. It needed strings but the battery was still fresh and the red transparent finish is in excellent shape. Any bang for no buck is a winner.

I Love my Sweetwater T and my Stealth 12-er 2058T. Even tho' it is an import-ish thing, my Ultra 2171 is a great sounding instrument for $310 new. All of my used O's are great deals, and any flaws that they have a cuz of age, not original design. But as far a New Bang-4-da-$, you cannot beat almost any USA Elite T. (But I will negatively add that my Flame T does not sound as good as my Textured T's... But it still sounds Great! Better than any other guitar that I will find for $500!)

He sent me a pic of the finish crack, which runs from bridge to bottom and shows some age. It's not enough of a deal for me to go for, but if anyone else wants it, let me know.
