Water Song! I miss the days when I could go down to the local college and see Jorma and Jack with the Jerry G. Band for five buck. THAT was inspiring!

Don't get me started.... I still have the torn tickets for concerts from years past at unbeleivable prices.
Beach Boys- $6
James Taylor-$8
Jesse Colin Young-$5
Charlie Daniels- $5
Gregg Allman- $6.50
Etc....
Compare that to Hannah Montana @ $120.00

Wow darkbarguitar... how old are you?

I paid I think $15 to $30 for Allman Bros, Boston, Seals and Crofts, Chicago, Harry Chapin, Boston, ELO, etc.. in the mid 70's

$120 for Hannah Montana doesn't surprise me, I mean really... I can't blame her.. Sell out a stadium at $50 a seat or $150 a seat.. no brainier.

Well, maybe they were student pricing, but Allman was 1978
Beach Boys 1977
....actually the rest were 1977, either at the Univ. of Florida or Great southern Music Hall in Gainesville, Fl. Guess we were lucky, you sucker.

I always say "I play the guitar"

but when asked to play I usually respond with "I don't do that type of thing"

The Jonas brothers are going to graciously add us to their tour at $160 to $530 per ticket. I bet we're one of the cheapest venues, too.

Do you play guitar? "Yes, a little, but I suck at it..."

That way if I sound okay, they appreciate it.
And if I suck, I warned them!
Actually, it looks more like this... a bit slower
__________
Concerts? The Band, Allman Brothers, Grateful Dead... $10 (free for me)
Alice Cooper... $4.50, $5.50, $6.50
ZZ Topp... Free
Jefferson Airplane... Free
Pete Seeger, Joan Baez, Arlo Guthrie, bunch o' locals... Free
Boston... $3 (first album release party, The Loft)
The Hooters... Free w/ Free Beer (but they played "And We Danced" 3 times to get a good recording)

Nobody is worth the money they are charging...
But I am pissed that I missed CSNY for $50 in Vancouver WA!

OK, fine. But conversely, don't let playing the damn guitar get in the way of life.

Well, okay....But I own a business, I have health conditions that send me to the dr at least twice a week, I take pain meds 3 times a day, I have a 14 yr old daughter who is starting point guard for a travel basketball team that keeps us on the road 2 weekends a month and practice at least 2 nights during the week. I have a home that needs upkeep and yardwork, etc.....BUT, I still find as much time as I can to play my guitar. Maybe it's not for everyone, but I think it's important to never lose it. Play your guitar, I say.
