Scott & MWoody

OK, you caught me,
I was scratchin' my albums of Johnny Cash
on my 60's turntable trash,
and break dancin through the chorus,
my ho was asleep at the time.
I put some 19 inch spinners
on my '90 paint flakin Suburban Jimmy
and sippin' Albertsons cheapest shine
My screen was flashin and my keyboard trashin
And my meanest Chihuahua was barkin
and it's teeth were a knashin
A protest from brotha Paul appeared on my screen
I joined the riot and vented my spleen
Scratchin the Cash the Chihuahuan knash
Now Scott and MWoody are trashin the mean

I've stayed away from posting in all this discussion. But, here gooes. To each his own, if the thread offends you, stop reading it. I do it all the time. It would be great if more female guitarists - Ovation diehards chimed in. Treat people with respect. Don't take things personally.

I met a great group of people at the Factory Tour. The only reason we were together was because of this board. As far as I could tell, everybody (and we had female players there) had a great time, very glad to have met each and every person I had a chance to. Very inspiring to hear thier songs, good to see people at all levels of musicianship, very thankfull to have shared the stage with some of you and sittig around jamming. Remember, we're here because we are nuts for Ovation guitars.

Well said Paul! I couldn't agree more. The factory Tour and jam was such a blast and being able to put faces to the names was also agreat thing about the get together.Looking forward to the one in June.

You ruined it for me, Moody. I was trying to take over the whole 'Today's Hot Topics' page with posts by me. :) I'm tired of being in LV...ready for home. I'm far to cynical to enjoy this circus.

Hey Cruster,

Avoid mirrors and Clowns after midnight.

And get some sleep!

Actually - Check out the Pawn shops for Ovations - I heard Lost Wages has a couple of them!

Anyone know if there are any prawn shops within walking distance of the Flamingo/Caeser's Palace/Bally's intersection? I hoofed all the way down to Stardust earlier this morning...good exercise, got some sun...but man, that has to be 2 miles. There's a reason I sit on my butt playing with computers all day...

maybe Serge can advise since he was recently prowling around guitar stores...

only pawn shop that I am aware of is eBay Hendersonsales...got a great 1619 from them, tried to check them out for address but no current listings - but Henderson is not an easy walk. I would check the yellow pages.

The sound you referenced was the sound of two clapped out pawn shop raggedy burnt out Ovation bass amps stuffed in the third row seat of my paint flaked Suburban, plugged into my AM radio, run off a 12V DC to 110V converter.

That is my bitchen' sound system and all I can afford on Social Security. Certain notes have the unfortunate (or fortunate) effect of causing my rear wheel bargain basement 20 inch spinner wheels to hop like a $20,000 low rider.
