Just got the Musician's Friend Newsletter slash Spamagram on their Summer sales. Seems the only thing Ovation that is overstocked is cases for the shallow bowls!

Only the shape of things to come. If what we heard at the factory is true. The shallow bowls are something they're trying to get away from.
I guess if someone really wants one , it could be special ordered.

I read that to mean they're only blowing out the cases and not any guitars. Which, in my twisted mind, would mean that the MotherShip isn't worried about moving units. Compare and contrast with other 'brands' who *are* blowing stuff out.

Then again, I avoid the MF catalog/spam like the plaque (it's part of my 12-step for gear addiction). Now, however, that Carvin catalog that showed up uninvited...

:)

I believe that the factory has a set price and the urge to "Blow out" is up to the Retailer.
