Location: The Great Pacific Northwest | All this talk recently about doing things to vipers got me in the mood to finally re-build my custom viper last night (and most of today). It used to have a sunburst body, but lately I have been into natural woods, and so this seemed to be the best progression. I have uploaded it to the gallery, where the description is, but if you just want to take a peek. Let me know whatch'all think.
Custom Viper w/ Kahler tremelo w/string lock, Handmade aluminum nut, Carvin M-22 bridge pickup w/ phase switch.

Location: The Great Pacific Northwest | It's a new body. Someone had used a stick-on tortoise laminate on the original pickguard and put an end jack into the body. I was just going to restore it as a regular Viper for myself until I saw the end jack. I already had the pickguard which up until yesterday went completely around the Kahler as it had to cover up the whole on the original body where the Bixby was mounted, and then later where a Khaler was mounted. Why would have I mounted the Kahler so far back, that's simple, so I could use the rollers from the Bixby as the Bridge :) That actually worked real well but looked aweful and was a real pain to string. When I got bored with that, I filled the body, and re-routed for the Kahler in the correct place, but had to recess it into the body to achieve the correct height. On this body I just put a shim under the neck.

Location: Las Cruces, NM | Great looking guitar, how does it sound? I'm going to work harder to get my UKII pickups and a second Viper to put them in to keep mine original. Paul T mentioned some benders that I might use on my "Custom". I'd like to use the original bridge.
