Having an upcoming Project can be as exciting as having a new guitar in the mail. I want to share what my next aspiration is as well as appealing to some of the "haves" to help provide what I need.

I want a set of pickups for my Deacon 12 string.

I have the electronics ala eBay and want to market it with both the original (redone) and the Phat Cat set up on custom Pick guards. This is not original but in some ways may be more desirable. It has NOS neck, tuners and Bridge. The Pat Cats and pots are new and were assembled by Hamer people! I expect to set an opening bid of $1099 and remain optimistic.

I have on the way another NOS 12 string neck, tuners and bridge which will mate well with my confused Deacon/Breadwinner six body. Working on a figured Koa pickgaurd and have some ideas for the electronics.
Yea-a-a-a-h Baby!

Does the price police think I'm expecting too much for a non-original Deacon 12?
This sounds and play just awesome and being only a year old should be quite reliable!

I don't understand what you want, ie pickups? Do you want new types of p/u's for your new project, or original p/u's for it?

As for the price of the guitar you want to sell, I think about the only way to establish a price is to start the bidding at a buck, then place a reserve on it of what you want.

Stock Deacon 12's have gone as high as $1600. If you have the original electronics, along with the PhatCats and a custom pickguard, then you ought to get a good price.

What, no habla el gibberish?

Sorry. I am looking for the later stage original deacon pickups. Not the very early Breadwinner style. Correct me if that doesn't sound right.

You are right about the auction style as well. I just get nervous past the $1000 range.
