This guitar is just too darn nice! Seriously! It looks as close to new as any guitar I've ever seen; which is saying something considering it was built in 1996. The top is perfect. The finish is flawless without even pick scratches. It only has slight fretwear on the first couple of frets. The action is nice and low, and the neck good and straight.

The sound is everything you want from a good guitar with excellent balance and sustain plus a touch more bass than most Ovations thanks to the modified A-bracing. It can be strummed with gusto, but really shines when fingerpicked thanks to the wider nutwidth (1 7/8").

Now as nice as the guitar is, I can't say much about the weather today, and the obvious victims here are the pictures. Today was terribly gloomy and as the temperature was falling, I had to rush a bit. So I apologize. I provided a couple of flash photos for perspective, but in the end, most of the photos are pretty dark. It would be an insult to understatements to say that the pictures don't do this instrument justice, but that's exactly the way it is.

Specs include a solid Spruce top (with some pretty lively figure in it...very cool looking; see the first picture), walnut bridge, ebony fretboard with a single maple inlay on the 12th fret, an ebony overlay on the headstock, gold tuners with pearloid buttons, a hand-rubbed eurothane finish on the neck, and one of the coolest rosettes ever: a fleur pattern made with walnut, ebony, and maple that is really striking!

It comes with its hardshell case which is in good used condition with some scuffing but no cracks. All buckles and hinges work fine and the case closes securely.

Many people say this about guitars they have for sale, but in all honesty, you really do NOT see these very often. More commonly you see their nylon string cousin the 6773 Country Artist. Finding a Folklore in this configuration actually is pretty rare!

It has a fresh set of Cleartones on it, and I'm asking $795 shipped and insured in the continental U. S. If you are overseas, contact me for a quote.

Thanks for looking everyone. By all means, ask any questions you may have.

Strangely enough, I won't be selling this one after all. My wife says "Keep it." In the interests of peace and harmony in my house, who am I to say "no".

Every man has a price, except if the wife says no...

Really great looking guitar, I can see why and I bet it sounds great.
