perhaps you should get in touch with the marketing apartment. we're the fanclub and if we wear their logo we really do some advertisment for them to sell new instruments (well, perhaps not me in fact I need solidbodies but one time I'll also buy an accoustic for myself ;) )

on the other side the shirts from kamanwear.com aren't that nice. perhaps they should design new shirts that don't look that oldfashioned.

happy advent
your streetwise

Kaman has a contract with the "it's a wrap" people. Although I have never had direct contact with them, many of my customers have complained about their service. I have a couple of their products and they are good quality.
The shirts miles had made for the fan club were very good quality and sharp.
I told him to get t shirts made and he keeps rubbing it in that they took long to sell.
but what the hell do I know? I am just an idiot that sells gear for a living.

I, personally like the shirts that Miles got and wear mine a lot. When he gets more in, I'll buy another.

I'm just tired of wearing shirts with Fenders and Gibsons on them. If you will recall from my first post on this thread, I asked the question of how do we get this question to Rick Hall.

Coming up is the 30th Anniversary of the slothead, possibly the best acoustic guitar Ovation ever made. This year they came out with the LX, another great acoustic guitar.

I would prefer to have a t shirt with Ovations like these on it, rather than Fenders and Gibsons.

i wore an ovation t shirt and my ovation hat to last night's gig (the color is great), and am sipping home roasted coffee from my ovation jumbo mug (musician's therapy size). i'm glad i got 2 of each before the supply ran out. since they were a small run i wont eat spaghetti wearing the t shirt). i'm in love--- what can i say.

you can count me in for a dozen if they go for $10 ea by the dozen. they would make great gifts. i wish i had them now. it would save me allot of christmas shopping. some FOR me and some FROM me.

with computer generated iron on art, almost anyone who has a little time and the basic gear can make a t shirt. ( printer and iron on transfer paper, image, and a computer if the printer isn't a stand alone scanner/copier/printer) that probably doesn't get into copyright issues since it isn't commercial. i have a friend in the screen print/engraving business (probably everyone does) in albuquerque. might have a few ideas---

btw:

The OFC coffee mug makes a GREAT shaving mug!!
A round cake of shaving soap fits into it perfectly, and it has a small enough "footprint" to fit comfortably into the medicine cabinet . . .

If, just if you had your choice to have a shirt with both guitars on it, what would it look like? The Adamas next to a LX? Both on the front? Back? One on each side? Straight up, crossed necks, right side up or up side down?

What do you envision? I think I'm going to make one for myself with my Balladeer. Maybe with the front on the front and the shiny back on the back (showing off the 5-ply & tuners). Waddaya think?

I just thought! I know some "people" in LA who do promo stuff and have contacts everywhere. One of them is doing a numbered limited edition Fender lunch box for only the distributors. I think I'll give them a call.

Ok, here's what I would do (probably violating all kinds of copyright laws). I'd have it be a colored shirt, good quality material. Large, and on the back, I'd have a picture of a slothead Adamas (Cliff's? one from the internet?) and a picture of an LX (personal preference would be a natural faced Elite -- picture of Woodrow's or off the internet). Somehow, I'd have them either leaning up against each other, or next to each other at an angle, with their necks crossed.

Under the guitars, I'd have some sort of logo, like "The past & the present... always leading to the future" And under that, it should say Ovation.

On the front over the left breast, it would have a small version of what's on the back.

Thoughts?

OK, Paul- email me some pics of "Big Blue"
Al- you can come up with a shot of the LX, right? Or anyone else who has what it takes. I'm not to cool with pulling pics right off the "O" site. Besides, I think a good camera will have better resolution.
Remember, these are just to play with and I think it would be nice to have something to show Ovation when we ask for their permission to do this.

Remember, also, we are just talking about something for us "fans" and it is free advertising. Like a good deed, Right? :D

Boy do I need a cold one after this day! And it's still early here on the coast!

Are we still together on this?
