I just recieved an e-bay acquistion... 1567 Legend... It came from a pawn shop in Florida... The description was sketchy but looked OK for the money... I was pleasantly suprised when I got it... No strings on it when it arrived but I cleaned the fretboard and polished it up and it's great!....Some pick scratches and a couple of dings but no finish cracks...

Now the questions for the Gurus... There is no info on it on the Ovation website about it... What's the difference between the 1567 and the 1667? This is a shallow, with a cutaway.

"cracking the code" says from the second number being 5 it should be: Acoustic electric cutaway Adamas and II/Elite/Ultra electric.

The third number is 6 the code says: Cutaway electric, deep bowl... (this ain't no deep bowl)....

What gives... I'm scratching my head!... Is this sometype of Ultra Legend?

Now up to 4 Ovations... Soon to be 5... Somebody stop me!!!

Is it a shallow bowl or super shallow bowl? I would guess a shallow bowl. What type of electronics does it have on it? Controls? Does it have a truss rod cover? Is it possible that it's a 1667?

the difference would be in the type of preamp. That's what the second digit usually denoted.

This thing has a stacked knob on top with volume and tone... I'm enjoying playing it while I'm scratching my head wondering what kind of mutt it really is.... I believe it's shallow not super shallow... Now I know why people enjoy something other than a deep...
