OK. How interchangeable are Ovation preamps? I have an OP-50 but I am thinking the OP-Pro tuner looks more user-friendly; that's the function I use most.

Do Ovation players ride motorcycles? Some of you obviously do. Harleys maybe?

Op30 and 40 are interchangeable. As far as I'm aware the Op-Pro preamp module will not work in guitars originaly fitted with Op30/40/50.

I have an 84 honda magna that Miles has had for the past 3 years promising he was going to fix it. Miles rides a Victory and a moto guzzi his significant other has one of the new triumphs.

I would love to own an Indian or a Excelsior Henderson or one of the new retro looking BMW's or one of the classic 60's bmw's but time money and a wreck 14 years ago make me question spending a bunch of money on a bike.

I tried to change out an OP50, with the OP-Pro (and viseaversa)... Nope, the conections on the inside of the housing are different. You would need to change out the box too... They do fit, but they don't work... I knew it would not work, cause Kim Keller had said so, but I thought, hmmm, if just the tuner would work, it might be some thing just for kicks... Not a chance!

I have an ATV by Suzuki, does that count?
Didnt think so... :D

Thanks for putting me straight on the preamp business.

Well I was sure I was getting a badass biker vibe from somewhere. Harleys for sure. No? My mistake. Me and my '75 Norton Commando have been round a lot of the continental US (NH to AZ) (years ago); also as far as Berlin and Prague on this side of the ocean. Our globetrotting days have been curtailed somewhat (job, wife, kids, stuff...); maybe one day; who knows?
