Can someone tell me the difference between these models ?
Ovation Celebrity: CS 257 - CS 257 Deluxe - CC 257
I have played the CS 257 but not the others… Are they all pretty close ?
I’m looking at buying the CS 257 but I see the CS 257 Deluxe and the CC 257 advertise in the use market and they seem to be pretty much the same price…
Thanks for any help you can give me…

The CS25, as with all of the Celebrity line share the wonderful design characteristics of the USA made Ovations but after learning a little you will find out how to maximize your "bang for the buck". Celebrity Deluxe and such will be due to subtle options in color and pre-amp packages.
Do a little research on this site and you'll learn about solid tops vs. laminated, one piece necks vs. five piece and the different chraftsmanship levels between the US made and the overseas units.
History, knowledge, entertainment and opinions will be found! |

Location: Minden, Nebraska | CS257 is the current designation for one of the Celebrity Deluxe models. I suspect a CC257 is the number for an older, earlier version of the same guitar. |

Dave,
The 3 models you have listed below are the same guitar. We originally produced the Celebrity Deluxe using the model # CC257. When we changed factories in Korea, we also changed the model # to CS257. The CC257 has a different preamp than the CS257, other than that, the specs are the same.
There is no difference between the CS257 and the CS257 Deluxe. The proper family name for the model CS257 is Celebrity Deluxe.
don't recognize the A4 model # you mention below. Perhaps you may be referring to the Applause 3/4 size guitar, the AE13? If so, the Applause line is made in a different factory than the Celebrity line and is considered our low-end roundback line. This is why the neck felt so different.
Hope this helps.
