Location: Columbus, Ohio | Do any of you have any problems with the fretboard being more narrow than most standard acoustics? Some fingerpicking seems to be a little harder for me. Just curious. |

Location: Zion, Illinois | I have a Gibson J-200 I bought back in 1973 (gosh, that makes me feel soooo old).
Anyway it has a very narrow fretboard (1 1/2 inches), the narrowest I've ever seen. I thought it would be perfect for my small hands. I was wrong. I have a heck of a time fingerpicking. I can't do a standard G chord without unintentionally muting the A string. It will be going up on E-Bay pretty soon.

Location: Scotland | My old Adamas is a wide-neck, I had a Folklore which was identical and my custom order guitar is a wide-neck, I feel most comfortable with those necks but I don't have a problem with the standard Ovation neck-width & string spacing. I have a '64 Gibson-built Epiphone Texan which has a neck so narrow it's damn-near unplayable, but it sounds amazing. |

Epiphone Texan - As I understand it, that's the guitar that McCartney used for the original recording of "Yesterday" - Played in the key of G major with the guitar tuned down a whole step so it's actually in F major.
