Location: Chicago | J. Budny sent me an OP STUDIO for my 1769 AD II. The pickup is sweet, no questions. HOWEVER, the battery light stays on ALL the time and there is a pronounced hum. Guess it's time for the repair shop. Is this a problem familiar to anyone? Any idea on the cause? I notice that my booster button does not work either... |

Other than that it sounds like a defective preamp. Just to be sure, I'd pull the battery and let it go cold for 3 minutes, then put in a fresh battery and try it in a different guitar. If it works ok, put it in the 1769. That should isolate it to either the guitar or the preamp. |

Location: UK | Hi Dobro,
Yep, i had the exact same problem on the OP-Pro that was fitted on my UTE 12, and the battery would only last for a few days. After long negotiations with Fender here in the UK, they accepted that it was faulty and replaced it. Replacement has behaved perfectly. |
