Hi, I'm french and I really want to buy an US Ovation Custom Legend. I want to buy it in the States and I'm kind in a hurry since I've learned that the last US made are on sale;
I have some questions and that would be nice if someone could answer:
-what about this information, is it true that's the last US models?
-I heard in France that even these last US guitars are lower quality made since Ovation change owners.
What about that also?
Thanks for your answers and have a nice day
Didier

Contact Alpep (one of the owners of this forum) and he can steer you in the right direction. He has lots of great guitars in stock and ships overseas frequently.

The factory is still making Ovations, but they make them to fill an order...not as a production guitar. While this may seem like a big change, it is no change at all for Custom Legends. Those were pretty much made to order all along.

As for your question about lower quality; that simply is NOT true. Any Ovation made in New Hartford will be the same high quality as they have always been.

True. The new production Custom Legends are being built in Asia ... they've recently started showing up in stores and on eBay. I recently got to play a last-run 2010 Custom Legend made in New Hartford and found it to be quite good, and the quality was excellent. Get 'em while you still can.

Check this listing in Ebay. Guy's got a bunch of the last American Legends.
