This is a Steve Hackett video off his new album, it has everything you'd expect from a ex Genesis art rocker in the hands of video producers, weird eastern music, classical, paganism, Ovations and no I don't know what is going on in the plot. It did occur to me that since he used to play a UK2 Ovation ought to get him one of those carbon prototypes to use instead of the Les Paul.

Being a long time Genesis fan, it's only natural that Steve Hackett is one of my all time favorite prog. rockers. I hope I can see him in concert someday.
Years ago, I found the sheet music to 'Horizons' and learned how to play it. I still perform it once in awhile at gigs. What a lovely little tune. It is actually a staple in Steve's live shows, and I read somewhere that he refers to the song as "The flagship of my little fleet of ditties."

I think the coolest thing about Steve is that he has never been one of those flash guitarists who careen around the stage making the 'guitar face'. With Genesis, he was more interest in creating sounds and atmosphere than being a 'soloist'. His quitting the band definitely was the beginning of Genesis' move away from a prog. sound in favor of more mainstream pop.

His solo work is very diverse and dynamic, ranging from classical to metal, with everything in between - always done with class.

Yep, one of my faves.....
