Location: Pennsylvania | I was messing around with a pretty cool (ay least I think) melody change and came up with this. The words are just filler for now, but I wanted to get the feel of the song down before I lost it.
I think that the chord and melody change is pretty cool, and would like other oppinions as well. It's only about a minute and a half, but I think I could turn it into a pretty good song with some more work.
I would appreciate any feedback...

I'm playing an Ovation Celebrity Deluxe CSE44, and singing through a Sure BETA 87A mic. They are plugged into a Mackie DFX-12 mixer with all EQ set flat, and using medium plate reverb on the mic channel set to unity. The tape outs are going to a Presonus Firebox for recording, and I am using Adobe Audition 2.0 to record. No software effects where used, just normalized and saved to mp3. |

Location: Tampa, FL | I think that your melody is good. Maybe you can incorporate some additional progressions/riffs as the song matures.
Thanks for sharing! Not easy for a lot of people to put something out there for everyone to listen to.
Reminds me of my first open mic night. I had only played for about a year. I was very nervous, but settled in after the first couple of songs. No one else showed up to play, so it was just me playing for about an hour. Pretty cool.
Continue to develop the song and please keep us posted.
Regards,
Mark |
