Hey ya'll,

I am looking to get my first amp/pa that is not a "practice" rig.
I have done some research (including deep search here at OFC) and have considered a wide variety of equipment.

I will be plugging in my 1537 or my 6774, both with factory electronics.

For my price range, I am considering JBL Eon 10 (maybe 1500) with a Behringer 602a mixer. I want pure acoustic tone.

I will be playing in my home and with friends...not "professional" gigs...

Look forward to comments...

Jeff:

There's been a lot of discussion on the very topic. Do a search for "acoustic amp" and see what you can find.

I personally like the Fender Acoustisonic Jr., and have a Crate CA 60. But there's a wide varity of opinions on this one.

Sleepy Bones,

Thanks.

I've searched.

Found that I was asking the wrong question.

What would have been the correct question?

I have a Fender Passport 250 Portable PA that works great. It is small enough to leave set up in a corner at home and big enough to use at smallish gigs for two or three people. Everything fits together in one package and includes a couple of half decent mics. It's a bit more than a straight acoustic amp but you're getting a very usable PA to boot.
I have the older version...about five-six years old.

The correct question would be....

For less than $500.00. What Acoustic Amps would folks reccomend?...A PA maybe be putting the cart 'fore the horse.

Bluebird...That Fender is cool as hell....
