I recently purchased a new Ovation Celebrity CC024.This particular guitar is made in Korea, and I can't seem to find any reference to it anywhere. Can anyone help out with more info?

Mike, I just purchased a Celebrity 026 which sounded and looked beautiful. Took it to my Taylor dealer to inspect it. He was amazed at the workmanship. Said it was a great value. Did you ck Ovation website?

I went thru catalogs going back about 10 years and couldn't find any reference to a CC024 Celebrity model. Anybody else?

Mike,
Click on this link:

http://www.ovationguitars.com/?fa=catspecs1

Scroll down and look under "celebrity", I believe you'll find mention of a CC024...
Otherwise go to http://www.google.com/ and type in Ovation CC024 and you'll get a few hits.

Paul T,
Have you noticed that the Korean made O's have slightly different model numbers than the ones destined for the USA? I went to the Ivor Maraintz website and found the CC024 there...

Everybody

We are going to have to accept the Celebrity's and support them on the site, they are some peoples intro to the Ovation world. When I started out in bluegrass, my sons became part of my band and I couldn't afford Martins to go around so I bought Yamakis for them to play as my retired Korean Vet Marine Band buddy who owned the music store was selling them. They are great guitars and I bought 2 of them for less than 1 Martin and they outplay any Martin I've seen. Celebrity's are a good intro to Ovation instruments.

Agreed, Bailey. Celebrities are a good introduction to Ovation and an excellent guitar for the price.
