The goofiest song I currently play in terms of keys is "Wichita Lineman". It seems to change key with every phrase, never really deciding where it wants to settle.

But it was the song's complexity that drew me to it almost the day after it hit and why I've been playing it all these years

Here's how Glen's rhythm guitar player, Ken Skaggs, wrote it out....

However, I think that the Gm7 at the first of each verse should be a C9. Personal opinion.......

You mean just before the BbMaj7? Nah, too pretty. The Gm7/C gives it a little tension.

I do the whole thing a step up. This gives me the open 1st string to cover the note played by the violins on the recording.

Thanks for that, beautiful. (Just two keys: F major and D. The G minor is just a little "neapolitan minor" trick for color).
