Location: Huntington Beach | Thanks to all for making 09 a better place. I joined up in February on a lark, not knowing what to expect or where it would lead. I have participated in other BBs - DUC, Tascam, Talkbass - but non have a community feel like OFC.
At first I walked the shore and trolled for whatever - and read some interesting exchanges - some a little scary for an outsider - this is a good bunch but don't get on their bad side.
I started asking questions and got good answers and learned from other peoples experiences and interjected my knowledge. And heard personal tales of commeraderie and kinship from various OFC gatherings. And all this over a box with 6 strings on it. A wonderful invention that creates musical magic for the novice and the seasoned pro and a focal point for friendships.
Thanks to Al and Miles for starting this gig and all the regular contributors for making it a fun place to end the day. And a great place to end and begin the new year. Happy 2010 to all!

Location: Corpus Christi, TX | I joined in November to sell my Elite 1457 that I now have sellers regret for but a deal is a deal.
This community has inspired me to pick up the guitar again, I had forgotten how wonderfully theraputic it is to spend a few hours each day trying to play the guitar. Frustrating but theraputic.
Thank you all for the inspiration I promise not to let it go to waste
OH and by the way I have a terrible case of GAS...
