Location: Glendora, CA | So the local guy at the pawn shop has my number and gives me a ring when some poor soul has pawned their Ovation. He knows I prefer the USA models - and am in search of a shiny bowl - but he also likes to tempt me cause he knows I caught G.A.S. A while back he called me to come over and see a sweet Korean made Celebrity CS-247 with a Quilted Green Burst. Damn thing looked virtually unplayed. His bottom-line price was $300 - so I gave him $10 to hold it for me for a few weeks until I could sell my like new - Applause AE-44-5 pretender on FleaBay. I will be damed if someone gave me a cool $310 for that sucker (ok I did eat the $30 in shipping!). Just brought her home, gave her a rubdown and a new set of strings. Now someday I am determined to own the USA inversion of this girl - but man this green sugar sure sounds sweet. One in - one out is really all the wife could ask for right? right...

Location: Yokohama, Japan | SWEET! "Mid-depth bowl" version of the shallow bowl CS-257 (or CC-257). The MIC Os were and are still very unstable as far as quality goes, but the MIK Os were very consistent in quality. Not comparable to a NH O, but for $300 bucks, man you gotta love it, and the green sunburst quilted maple top is killer! Nice pic up! Thanks for sharing! |

I keep looking for just the right Green Custom Legend, but the ones I have seen have problems. That Green is STUNNING, especially with the quilted maple!!
And Congratulations for being able to get one, by selling one!!
You have caught the Bug! LOL!!! |

Location: Keepin' It Weird in Portland, OR | I have owned a couple of CS247's, including a Long-Neck.
They are pretty nice guitars.
Yeah, you can find Elites that Sold for $300.
It is pretty hard to find one FOR SALE for $300.
And often there is a reason that they are selling so cheap.
(condition, location, economy, desperation)
