| Hey all!
I just bought an Ovation guitar model 1537. I haven't been able to find out much information about the guitar myself and I thought this would be the perfect place to ask a few questions.
The serial number is 301181, I'm not sure if that is useful, but from some of the posts I was reading people were talking about the year their guitars were made, so I was wondering if there was anywhere I could find more information using that number.
A little about where and how I got this guitar:
I found this at a pawn shop and fell in love. I bought the guitar for $180, I'm not sure if this was a good buy or not, but from what I've read it seems like a pretty rare find. The finish is cracked all across the body pretty bad but it seems like the wood is in good shape, as is the rest of the guitar save for a few scratches.
If anyone could give me any more information on my guitar I would be very grateful. I have had this guitar for about a month and I am happy to be a part of this community. |

And even if it has finish cracks... As long as it plays it is a Great Deal.

| Awesome! It plays for sure, and I'm glad to hear it was a good find. It also came with a Snark and the Ovation hard shell case so I'm pretty pumped. |
