Someone on the FB Collector Page is soliciting offers on a 47RI #75 that he claims he had in 2002. Not sure how he has #75 4 years before it was made, anyway.... I asked him to send some photos because I was interested in purchasing it (who wouldn't!). Anyway he claimed it was perfect except a "buckle rash" scrape on the back bowl. The photos he sent clearly show that the guitar was dropped and the bowl is cracked. Photos he sent were like 10 feet away and he was very reluctant to send me close ups. When he finally did I told him I would have to see the guitar in person before I dropped that kind of money on a guitar that needed a potential major repair. Anyway, just wanted to give you all a heads up that he is not being very forthcoming about the guitar. Be careful with this one.

Yeah. Buckle rash, my left foot! Unless it's a giraffe shaped buckle worn on the extreme far right of center...

@JustKim - "Unless it's a giraffe shaped buckle"

LOL!!

But speaking of which.. buckle rash on the back of an Ovation can be cured with a black Sharpie carefully DABBED onto the rash with the point of the marker. The rash is typically more porous than the rest of the natural bowl, so if you let it dry the ink will absorb into the rash and any "over-dab" can be cleaned off of the adjacent smoother area with a light brushing of rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab. It may take a few applications, but it's the best cure I have found so far.
