Location: closely held secret | The peanuts in that box are worthless anyway. The vulnerable points are the front and back of the case, not the perimeter. All the peanuts you can fit in that box won't stop that forklift blade from going through.
The best method is the one the factory uses, secure the case in the box by making a recess for the case at the bottom out of stout cardboard, and a collar at the top keep the guitar centered in the box. |

Location: Sunshine State, Australia | I agree. I just sent my Elite to Melbourne in an Ovation carton with no further protection other than about 6 layers of packing tape over the ends (I use the cheap stuff) and it arrived in perfect condition.
I've sent an email trying to describe how to do it but my descriptive skills Seem to have abandoned me. |

Location: Michigan | Repacked to Murray's specs. should be no mess and still well protected. never shipped an instrument before, so i figured overboard was better than underpacking. |

Your guitar arrived in NewJersey this morning and is sitting behind me, in it's case acclimating (it's about 50-degrees today, after a rather chilly night). Will pop-open th'case once it's had a chance t'WarmUp . . .
btw;
stryrofoam peanuts (especially, those LITTLE ones - th'size of pencil erasers) are absolutely th'Devil'sSpawn. |

NiceNeck!! Is that it??
C'mon Cliff. You're killin me.
Tell me more, PUUHLEEZE?
(BTW, do you have any Ovation guitar cartons laying around? The Folklore will have to be checked in when Rob returns as he's got a few days in Hong Kong. I'm not too keen to have the guitar just protected by the case.)
I reckon you've got nearly 6 weeks to decide if you want one or not.
Enjoy it Cliff, and THANKS. |
