Location: Waterloo, IL | After being out at sea once again, I returned last night to find a very beautiful guitar waiting for me. It came in from Nashville on Wednesday. Of course, I had left on Tuesday, so had to wait all week to get my hands on it. :(
It is just as beautiful as Nashville had described it, and really sounds nice. It is obvious he took very good care of the guitar. I am glad that I bought the guitar from him. Of course, I had to promise the wife that I would not suffer any more GAS attacks, at least for a while. :) Thanks for all the good advice I have received here, the bank account is still intact. |

Location: Waterloo, IL | The only desire I have is to get a Thunderhead or a Viper later on. First I have to let my meager bank account rebuild itself. That can wait quite a while since I already have two excellent guitars to keep me busy. :) |

Location: Pacific Northwest Inland Empire | Chuck, or anybody else, for that matter; I notice you list a 1711 as one of your prized possessions. Now, I own an 1111. Both are listed as Standard Balladeer, deep bowl. Is the difference reflected in the years of manufacture, cosmetic embellishment, construction materials, or what? Admittedly, this is a somewhat esoteric inquiry. I'm just curious. As to the quality and playability, I think my 1111 would be the hardest to part with, if hard choices needed to be made. I may revise my opinion, however, in the future (probably, about mid-2004), pending the refurbishment of the "new critter" 1127. Jeez, ain't it great to have choices?! |
