I'm in the process of procuring a headstock-less '73-ish Legend. Anyone got a neck floating around? Even a broken one? I'd do a headstock graft if need be.

This is your opportunity for a slothead. Make one for it.

I think your odds are very good for getting a nice neck if you keep an eye out for Ovation "project guitars"

I have a topless '74 1111 and the neck is twisted so it's "done". I bought a c.1970 Panasonic am-fm table radio and I was going to make a new 'top' out of 1/8" paneling and mount the radio dial/knobs and an 8" speaker in it.... I thought it would be the coolest thing to hang on the wall. But now I'm wondering if I shouldn't shave the headstock off.

And yeah, I do watch for O projects. Obsessively.

My project was an 1115 Pacemaker, with a missing peghead. I figger- WTF- make it a Folklore! So, I gets me a hunk of mahogany, laminate in the necessary "stripe", and paste the whole mess onto the end of the amputation site.
It was a great project, had a reasonably good outcome, and sent it off (like EVERYTHING else I do), to an afficionado in The South, as I recall.
