What is the difference between 1121 and 1621?
Besides that the 1621 plugs-in and 1121 don't...

On the Ovation website, they say 1121 is a deep bowl,
And the 1621 is a shallow bowl.

I have a 1621, and it is not a "shallow" shallow bowl.
Is the 1121 any deeper?

Or are they both Artist Bowls, and the web designers ain't really Musicians...
[not like I'm a great musician, but that is another topic] :D

I need to know real quick, if I want to buy (or try to buy) the 1121...
But only if it is a Deep(er) Bowl!

Save your money, the bowls are the same. Both are ARTIST depth bowls. Wed designers are human. Dave

The only difference is the electronics. Back in those days, second digit of 1 = acoustic only. Second digit 6 = Acoustic electric. All other aspects of the guitar are identical.

The strap button is probably in a different location as well. Dave

Update-- I had already put a reasonably cheap bid on the 1121 before I read this, and I won it.
And yes, it is pretty much the same as a 1621. Here are some observations...
This thing as alot lighter than the 1621. I didn't realize that electronics weigh that much.
As to the strap button, it has none. Never had. I gotta figure-out how to fix that.
I may have to adjust the neck on this thing, I'm not sure yet. I still wanna change the strings and all that stuff, but I went to bed instead.

So if anyone has advice on installing a strap button where there was none, I'd be interested. I don't like the tie-on the head option.

Also, more advice on neck adjustment is welcome.
I gotta go to work...
