first, the two pu's (bridge and neck) clip my line6 pod. Its not a big problem (you dont hear it that much) but does anyone know how to fix this easily and with (ahem) "tonal integrity". Is this normal by the way?

secondly, and just out of interest, why are the bottom strap screws 2" long? I replaced them with straplocks and they were just half as long.

Can't help ya' with the p/u's (sorry), but an "educated guess" on the screws'd be that they need to be that long to go through the urelite and into the aluminum frame(?).

If that in fact IS the case, y'might wanna consider re-installing the StrapLox with the original screw(s) . . . . for safety/security sake.

Justa thought . .

Not that I know of, no. I just replaced the screws, went allright. when I shaked the guitar I heard something loose in the pu selector cavity, turned out there is some kind of little metal plate there where the screw goes into to tighten the construction even more.

The UKII pickups are pretty hot...try adjusting them a little further from the strings.

Not sure about the Pod but I have 2- UK2's and a Pod XT. I do not have an clipping problem with either guitar or the unit.

On the XT, there is an output knob, drive knob, and channel volume knob. It is important to have a good mix of these 3. If they are out of balance then you possibly could experiance clipping.

I would try turning then all down to about the 9:00 position and see it the problem persists...then gradually increase to see at what point the clipping begins.

Maybe none of this applies to the Pod.....and is only on the XT version.

Then pickups were really hot so that's probably why there's the clippinbg.
The screw is 2" long to make sure it has plenty to anchor it in there. It desn't get near the aluminimum frame though but that was a good educated guess Cliff.
