I sincerely hope he gets his initial bid.

Good illustration of what they are really worth vs. the value on the streets. Ovations are typically undervalued on the open market. It is one of Alpep's laments. I love it as a bottomfeeder, but see it rather grimly when bids on a completely factory restored Longneck don't even hit $500....

I digress. Nice 12-string; good luck on his price, eh?

Bet he ends up going down at least another $1000. Strikes me as someone who really doesn't know what the market value is for this, and is hoping to get lucky.

I paid $425 for my 1118.

I asked the seller the same question. Let's see what his response is... if he responds at all.

Just got his response:

"It's only been played two or three times."

We'll see if that question and response makes it on eBay.

Just accquired (sp)my first GC 1118 from a fellow OFC member and is a 72 w/some dings and some finish cracks....(don't we all have some after thirty plus years?) and is a thing of beauty. I also agree that our guitars are highly undervalued by the current market....good for us tho as we can add to the fold and spread good things around more easily..hope he sees his reserve...I believe they're worth every shekel... which i am now squirreling away at an alarming rate so that i may afford the new 2005 Black Beauty for OFC members
