Location: Saginaw, MI | I just sold my 30th anniversary Adamas to a gent in Texas, but I never really understood the stereo output plug. I found by trial and error that if I got a stereo splitter Y cord (ring/tip) to two 1/4 inch cables it split the 1-3-5 to one channel, and the 2-4-6 to the other. Is that all there is to it? There was NO documentation with the guitar when I bought it. Thanks! |

Location: Copenhagen Denmark | Yeah ,it s fun that,it sounds kinda , kinda special through a stereo combo,when speakers are far apart ,say stereo P A or two guitar amps it sounds odd,but since we all try to being different,this could be one way to go |

Location: 6 String Ranch | Actually it's pretty much useless all the time.
The only time I heard it used really well was when we made an Adamas for James Taylor. The sterio was bass 3 treble 3. not every other. He then ran them both through the same amp. The treble strings went through a chorus and the bass was straight. Now this was very cool and JT thought so too but at the end of the day gave the guitar back and said thanks, that was fun. |

Location: Saginaw, MI | Thanks for the ideas. It seems it would make more sense to split the bass and treble strings as described, than every other. It did provide a bit more space through the PA, and in headphones, but actually obnoxious if the split was more than minimal.

Location: 6 String Ranch | I think we took the pickup out and replaced it with a "regular" one and the guitar is long gone. This was back in 1981. |
