Fender's much vaunted new website. Click "Other brands" and this is what you get.

http://www.fender.com/products/other_brands.php

What makes it worse is that Sunn and De Armond aren't even made anymore and they're still listed.

And you realize that Kaman Music is More than just Ovation...

Maybe Fender just got Stuck with Ovation in the deal to get Hamer and Takamine and Genz Benz and all those Drum companies and....

Oh! and the building to put the Guild factory into.

You get my point.

[But maybe they are trying to grant Ovation some autonomy?]

Nope, it was ALL about the marketing avenue's and expansion...the products are not foremost in the thought process...and that allows Ovation to have some breathing room and hopefully organize...trimming costs, expanding overseas manufacturing, and make Guild profitable as well...it should be an interesting year...Things change...
Fender stuck? Don't bet on it...

It was all about the distribution network. Fender bought Kaman Music, and Ovation just came along with it. My local music store owner thinks Fender did the deal for the drums and percussion action.

Thanx! That is what I said!
(Although I know nothing about distribution and such)

And Ovation Guitars continue to not get the respect they deserve!
