Welcome to the club Kalel!

The Pacific Rim manufactured instruments were made in different factories at various times. The work is contracted out and may even inviolve different builders for different models.

also why is this club somewhat outdated in the refeance for example serial number go up to 2003 and the member access for events go up to 2004 bulleting board seems the only thing up to date

well i love my ovation guitar love the black finish but i was puttin the battery on the tuner and had a little accident the sound hole got a minor scract about 3 millimiters and was wondering sense this is electroacoustic thing i like to do most is solos will this be able to them im talking distortion solos such as whitestripes, jimmy eat world, Van Halen's Eruption solo,Malmsteem fast paced will this be able to do it being an acoustic and all

ive also heard that this guitar dosent sound so loud unplugged need reassurence with that in audice were a grupo of 3 but later on it will be a class of abotu 20 and i cant have my ovation drown out by yamahas, takamines, gobsons, epiphones i boughit this to own them but if i get left behind which i hope dosent happen

Hi Kalel and welcome.

Are you sure his sounds better or is it the perception your getting from his sitting across from you vs yours in your lap.

Have you actually switched and played each others guitars?

Also the op20 is quite a bit older than the op40 so it is possible the guitar sounds better due to aging.

Welcome to the club. Why not put where you're from? These are the days when things are sourced from many different countries, I guess the answer to your question would be that your friends is older than yours, (just a guess).
