Does anyone hve experience with these adhesive strips that are put in the bottom of showers?

These so-called "non-slip" strips that have a very rough surface on one side, and adhesive on the other. I am concerned that the adhesive might somehow leave a scar or stain on the bowl when I remove it someday.

Actually, I play sitting down, and about the only time my Ovation slips is when I slouch 'cause I am tired -or drunk.

There was another thread running on this. I liked Dave's suggestion of using that stuff that you put on the bottom of drawers to keep stuff from sliding around. Just put it on your leg.

#6 had bathroom non slip. It worked but wasn't pretty. Just don't drink so much, go for coffee instead. Not as much fun I know...but......

Recycle that Gorilla Snot stuff that holds the credit card in place in the junk mail. Toss the card though.

I am so sick of hearing about slipping Ovations. I have an idea, for the 2007 collectors edition how about a "velcro-bowl". Sell it with a corresponding velco shirt and you wont even need a strap.

I just might be onto something here........

I hate to wedge a serious answer into this conversation but...once again...my solution: 3M non slip stair tread. Cut to a good size, round the corners, stick it on. It's black so no one even sees it. No more slipping. You won't want to take it off in the future because it won't look unsightly and it solves the problem. Now...back to the comedians.

I wouldnt be too worried about scars on the bowl, unless you use something with petroleum in it. ( which you should never do) KG

I got one of the guitars the bauerhillboy did this to and it is amazing. Can't even tell it is there and it works perfectly.

Stop searching for answers and do what BHB has suggested with the 3M product.
