The appraiser said they were worth $5K each & since they were a consecutively numbered pair the two were probably worth $12K together. I dunno anything about Nationals, but they sure were pretty. /\/\/

Consecutive numbers, that's nice, still 40. These were square necks and I'd put them lower, maybe 4 or 5 each but no more than 10 for the pair. If I recall these also were the type of square neck that can't be converted, the metal body came up to the nut. Wish me luck on the gold one.

Joined: January 2002 Posts: 14127 Location: 6 String Ranch | I got the space open as we speek! Actually I talked to Natinal and they made 8 of these, 4 went to Japan. This one is basically new and really hasn't been played, I got the whole history on it. It's got a 1 7/8 neck which should be great! Nice curl in the maple too, another upgrade over regular production. So now we wait..........

The guy split them up and the first sold so he offers me the second one at a reasonable price, which I take. This could be one of those too good to be true stories but I don't think so. Anyway we'll await UPS and see how this turns out..........
