Hey Duncan,

Thanks for the cool arrangement! I still have to work on it, but it looks very nice!....

OFC Members: If it's ok with Duncan, I can either make a PDF or JPG of the Tab and post it or email it to whoever wants a copy.... Duncan?

Sure, "PDF" or "JPG" (whatever that means!) to your heart's content. I'm playing this arrangement whenever I practice; I just hope the neighbors don't hear me ("hey, who's the nut-bar in unit 212 playing Christmas music in August?").

Should I jump in the back or in the front of the wagon?

Me too please. No banjo jokes for 1 week!

I'd like a copy as well. My next door neighbor has already commented that he has hear Xmas music eminating from my house in August. I'm bad enough that I need to start practicing WAY ahead of time!

Many thanks to Duncan for his effort in tabbing the arrangement and his willingness to share it... I'm just the messenger (don't shoot me please!) :D

I'll take a copy, too - will be fun to compare to an arrangement of this I play (that I got from Fingerstyle Magazine around 10 years ago, I think...).

Thanks!

Tim, I always say it's preferable to shoot the messenger. ;) I hope I didn't make any boo-boos when I wrote the tab; I quadruple-checked it.

It looks like this is a popular Christmas song. If I recall correctly, wasn't it written by "The Velvet Fog"?

Could I get a copy? Won't be long before the snow is flying here! Besides, I need ample time to procrastinate before I actually get to work on it.

Thanks!

It was written by the "Velvet Fog", Mel Torme, on a super hot, late summer day, July or August. Screw the neighbors if they don't appreciate one of the most popular songs ever written or played.

Tim

I'd sure like the tab in PDF at shirleyjd2001@yahoo.com. Might give me some inspiration to play more guitar.

Thanks Tim and Duncan

It's the first tab I've ever had where I know how it should sound before hand. I spent years learning Mel Bay fiddle tunes from tab for the mandolin and getting them wrong until I had to play them with a good banjo player where they suddenly made sense. Banjo players keep the bluegrass and folk historical reality intact.
