My first is on the way and it is an Elite LX. Can't wait for it to get here. Just curious to see what you have and which may be the favored. Some of you may have so many that a number count would be easier. My wife thinks I am crazy to be very soon a two guitar owner. Go figure, but she has not really bitched just shakes her head.

Neck is straight, frets didn't look like they'd ever been played, not a scratch on it. In looking for an acoustic, I played everything from the $79 el-cheapo house brand up to and including some five-digit Gibson, Martin and Taylors. The O just felt/sounded right, though. I wouldn't trade it for the world. Hopefully, I'll be adding to the collection, assuming I can find a nice O solid body (preferrably a breadweiner or preacher). Or maybe an O jazzbox (seem to be few and far between). Or maybe a USA-made Hamer. Or... ;)

I'll be happy if it actually arrives, and arrives in one piece (!). After a decent interval I may be able to get an Adamas. To me the Adamas fulfills my needs in an acoustic, soundwise and aesthetically, minus most of the structural problems that can affect all-wood acoustics (although I like them too). And I love just looking at them, too. Also, perversely, the fact that some players look at Ovations as "salad bowls" makes me love them all the more. wemdege

I'm pretty much a hobbyist player so I picked what would give me the most versatility for the buck, and these three (plus my DeArmond C guitar) have filled the bill nicely. Pix of all in the gallery (I think)...

The Epi may be going bye-bye, I don't play it that much. I may get one, maybe two more guitars, but there is no chance I will ever threaten Miles' collection in numbers! :D Roger

Well, you get the picture. I told you it wasn't very clever. My wife calls my Elite "Buckshot," bescause she says the multi soundhole configuration reminds her of bullet holes  Jeff

Joined: January 2002 Posts: 14127 Location: 6 String Ranch | I never did get around to naming the guitars although some did get numbers (Adamas 220, or Adamas35, the 1987 number 22) A couple of my Nationals have names, the Style 1 tricone is J C Chastain and has a date Feb 10 1928 engraved on it so that one is JC Chastain (is that f#$@*&g original or what?) and a style 4 is the Antone Chris model for again obvious reasons. One of the Collings is called Mev'n which is what it is, Maple B&S&N, Engleman top, Vintage bridge string spacing, Natural finish. All the rest are just refered to by what they are, the CJ41 or OM42 or the stlye 3 or whatever.

Sig. model (335 style), 1953 Gibson ES-175 & my new arrival- a 1985 Tacoma Papoose ac/elec. I gave my late 30's/early 40's Kalamazoo to my granddaughter. I can see the possibility of a nice Custom Legend at some point in the future when I have more room. /\/\/
