Joined: February 2004 Posts: 2487 | The Adamas #7 is listed as "Beige" on the first generation Adamas guitars. I know becasue I have both versions of this #7 color. They are both great colors by themselves.... but it is not my first choice two have two bookend guitars in different colors?? I still lean toward the older Beige/Blue color as my favorite and for what it is worth as an opinion, many years after the fact, they should not have changed the earlier color. Ovation should have added the new #7 choice along with the rest. For Sht's & Gigl's ....If anyone reading this happens to have a 1587-7 in the older beige/blue #7 and would like a beautiful 1587-7 in the newer whitish/blue I'd be very willing to trade even. No other color has gone through this change...to bad it had to happen to, what I consider, the best color ever made for these guitars......... Randy

I like it better when the thread goes off topic. OK I wil try to incorporate the info to this point in the first post and will post an edit notice when I have. I'm also wonderin' where the BarnBurst designation is...

Hmmm...don't see Amber Burst. Same question. Stonebobbo as CWK suggested, I think the natural finsh on the '87C is "vintage natural" which was the same designation as -7 tan Adamas and -4 the clean natural...
